Prof Blasey-Ford’s Study into False Memory Creation, Mind Control

Written by John O'Sullivan

Christine Blasey-Ford, ‘sex assault victim’ of Judge Brett Kavanaugh gave powerfully emotional testimony to the US Senate, and now implicated in perjury. Ford has just been exposed as a published expert in how to use hypnosis to create false memories and mind control.

New revelations show that in 2008 Blasey-Ford, a professor of psychology at Palo Alto University in California, co-authored a respected scientific study on self-hypnosis and how to create false memories.

In addition, Christine Blasey Ford is said to currently head up the CIA Undergraduate Internship Program.

None of this information was thought important enough to disclose to the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

She is today reported to have refused a new FBI request to disclose her therapy notes, which she referred to in the nearly nine-hour hearing had the nation transfixed.

“Brett groped me and tried to take off my clothes. He had a hard time because he was so drunk,” Ford told senators in her opening statement.

“I believed he was going to rape me. I tried to yell for help. When I did, Brett put his hand over my mouth to stop me from screaming. This was what terrified me the most,” she said.

But these allegations have been turned on their head in a bizarre twist to one of America’s worst political scandals, after a fresh FBI investigation was ordered last Friday (September 28, 2018).

Did Professor Ford Use False Memory Mind Control Trickery?

What is now not in any doubt is that Professor Blasey-Ford has extensive professional knowledge of how to create false memories under hypnosis and use them to advantage.

Blasey-Ford has extensive academic experience in the study of clinical application of self-hypnosis for the purpose of altering personal memories. This may explain her professional ties to the CIA, as detailed here.

She co-authored ‘Meditation with yoga, group therapy with hypnosis, and psychoeducation for long‐term depressed mood: a randomized pilot trial‘, published (May 05 2008) in the Journal of Clinical Psychology. It is one of her 50 co-authored scientific publications.

The shocking revelation was made on Twitter by Professor Margot Cleveland, a lawyer and a member of the Illinois State Bar, the Northern District of Illinois Bar, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

It is well understood by clinicians that anyone who is subject to hypnosis can suffer false memories. The New York Times ran a story ‘Hypnosis May Cause False Memories‘ (September 10, 1997) explaining the science:

Dr Ford collaborated with fellow academic researchers on what is described as a:

“…randomized pilot study investigated the effects of meditation with yoga (and psychoeducation) versus group therapy with hypnosis (and psychoeducation) versus psychoeducation alone on diagnostic status and symptom levels among 46 individuals with long‐term depressive disorders.”

Since publishing that study Ford began teaching in consortium with Stanford University. Prior to that, an archive of her LinkedIn reveals that she has been a visiting professor at Pepperdine University, a research psychologist for Stanford University’s Department of Psychiatry, and a professor at the Stanford School Of Medicine Collaborative Clinical Psychology Program.

Dangers of “Recovered Memory Therapy”

Recovered Memory Therapy is a controversial and as yet poorly understood field of applied psychology.

Hypnotherapists, psychiatrists, psychologists and academics working in this field are well aware of the risks involved in participating in, or administering, Recovered Memory Therapy because of the danger of False Memory Syndrome.

Therapists often work with individuals who remembered that they were sexually abused and are working in the here and now to overcome any problems initiated by that abuse.

It is not yet clear whether Professor Ford experimented herself using this mind-altering technique, but she is beyond doubt highly knowledgeable.

For several years “Recovered Memory Therapy” was in fashion among professional therapists. Hypnosis and other counseling techniques are applied to patients/volunteers to discover past history that might contribute to an existing mental problem – the belief being its use may precipitate a better quality of life.

Elizabeth Hartney, PhD writes:

“Some who’ve been abused actually forget about the abuse for years—or even decades—only to remember it later in adulthood, sometimes during therapy.”

However, it possible to create false memories.

But today, there is increasing concern that very process of hypnosis may have an unintended memory-altering/creation affect.

This issue became more widely known partly because of the accusations of abuse made by Dylan Farrow against Woody Allen (above). This is explained in ‘It’s Shockingly Easy to Create False Memories’ (02.09.14).

Body language experts and other observers noted Dr Ford’s childlike voice and demeanor displayed in her testimony to Congress last Thursday could certainly be a clue of a deep mental disorder.

Since last week’s hearing  researchers have engaged in lively discussion, many of the most intriguing have appeared on 8chan and voat where there is a rapidly rising following of the ‘QAnon’ phenomenon.

A ‘breadcrumb’ dropped today on QMAP (supposedly from US military intelligence) points to a political conspiracy:

Dr Ford has proven, long-standing CIA connections (her father and grandfather worked for the CIA, as does Ford today). We can only speculate (albeit tenuously at this stage) that her research work in psychology has connections with the controversial MKUltra mind control experiments.

A youtube video by Bombards Body Language provides a revealing evaluation of Christine Blasey Ford’s many ‘tells’ that suggest deceitfulness and lying.

Of particular note on page 5 of the Memorandum of Prosecutor Rachel Mitchell, who conducted the televised interview of Kavanaugh and Blasey-Ford, was that:

“It is significant that she used the word “contributed” when she described the psychological impact of the incident to the Washington Post.  Use of the word“contributed” rather than “caused” suggests that other life events may have contributed to her symptoms. [emphasis added] And when questioned on that point, said that she could think of “nothing as striking as” the alleged assault.” (page 5, Mitchell Memo, Sept 30, 2018).

“Christine Blasey-Ford, ‘sex assault victim’ of Judge Brett Kavanaugh gave powerfully emotional testimony..”

It was the fakest testimony I’d ever seen.

She tried ever so hard to cry and sound traumatised while describing the “events” but couldn’t manage to shed a single crocodile tear. Not even close to emotional, but an obvious fr@ud and should be jailed for perjury ASAP.

The body language vid above says it all.

So, a professor of psychology who works with the CIA (and therefore presumably has security clearance at some level) comes forward with a serious allegation.
(Two other women allegedly have also come forward. Do you have “killer facts” on them, too?)
The professor is an expert on false memory. Is an expert on false memories more or less likely than average to have false memories themselves?
She hasn’t released records of her therapy. Would you???
She uses language exactly like Jordan Peterson, another psychologist. They both use words with unusual precision. When she says “contributed to”, she means that there may indeed be other events that were also contributory. She will also know full well that the impact of a particular event is mediated through past events, and there is almost never a simple cause-effect relationship between and event and the reaction provoked by it.
She has not previously publicly revealed the assault. 90% of women sexually assaulted on campus do not report it. (c) Fisher, B., Cullen, F., & Turner, M. (2000). The sexual victimization of college
women (NCJ 182369). Retrieved from the National Criminal Justice Reference
    Service: https://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles1/nij/182369.pdf
Does the sum of the above make her more or less likely to be a liar? mmm. I’m not going to opine on that, because I don’t think any of it has much bearing on this particular event. She could be lying. She could be telling the truth.
There is one man, and one woman involved (well, possibly three women). Their testimonies conflict. The FBI are investigating …maybe it would be wise to await their report before posting articles insinuating that the man must be telling the truth and the woman must be lying.

That’s what should happen, but I bet it’ll be swept under the carpet somehow. The Dummocrats are using her as a puppet to stir up trouble for the Trump camp. It’s got little to do with Kavanaugh but if they can take down both it’s a win-win. They know that using Nazi-like propaganda tactics have a history of being successful to sway the sheeples. At this point, Ford’s a scapegoat-in-waiting for when it all goes tits up.

How she either didn’t realise this from the get go or was convinced by her “lawyers” that she’d be protected is beyond me. Maybe it’s the money talking or she’s already a dyed-in-the-wool Dummocrat and has no morals. A vast number of her fellow women don’t believe her either.

From the fakest testimony I’ve ever seen and the sheer lack of actual, let alone believable evidence, the only reason this spectacle is allowed to continue is because money is changing hands, and all involved are dragging it out to make the most of it.

No matter what happens, the way I see it is that those involved in the most obvious and public criminal smear campaign this century will somehow end up smelling of roses. History simply rinses and repeats.

    John,

As a long time reader, it’s very sad for me to see you violating the apolitical principles that were supposed to be the bedrock foundation of PSI (see below). Unfortunately, if this continues I will no longer be able to defend the site as politically neutral and strictly dedicated to the application of scientific method.

Please consider deleting your two recent articles (including this one) directed at the US Supreme Court nominating process and continue to keep PSI out of the political mire. Of course, that’s all up to you.

    Thanks,
    Ed

“2. PSI AND POLITICS: THE BASIC PRINCIPLES
PSI serves no political purpose, supports no political party (or parties) and does not engage in political activities. Our advocacy is for the advancement of the traditional scientific method (as per the ideas of Karl Popper) and we are resolute in opposition to political ‘post-normalism‘ in science.”

      Hi Ed,
I sit within a dichotomy replying to your post. I agree with you within the precise context of your argument. But, even in your correctness you are missing the understanding of life. Life is now and always has been POLITICAL in nature. I am, because of its extreme complexity working laboriously on an article re the psychology of Climate Change Acceptance by the masses. See below:
This article delves into Science, the Social Sciences and what we term politics is also termed a science offered as curriculum in many universities. Definitions of the word politics refers to ‘governments’ derived as such: from Latin gubernare ‘to steer, rule,’ from Greek kubernan ‘to steer.’ This is the social system that starts from the simplest system, a family, and expands into nations. That system is defined as being hierarchal and it has existed for approximately 350 million years, triangular with age and experience at the top apex.
Science was and still is encompassed within those few who have the joy and wonder of discovering the wonder of creation, we, our planet and the Cosmos. But now what we term Science is driven by Politics, by money, to arrive at a political agenda ONLY.
Ed, you’re throwing the baby out with the bath water. Since inception PSI has been a fight against the politics that is the reality of AGW, now Climate Change. Don’t you understand that??? Do you not understand the FEAR of those who understand the reality of the politics of Climate Change??? Think about it!!!!!!!!!! Here’s the REALITY, Ed. ANGER, ITS YOUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN WHO WILL PAY.

Ed, It is PSI’s mission to provide informed commentary on important matters in the public domain where corrupt scientific practice is involved. There is no advocacy here for any political party – which is in compliance with our apolitical stance. This story is of huge public interest with a clear and definable scientific basis – the use and abuse of psychological techniques for mind control and the contentious science of polygraph tests. I thank you for your long term support of PSI and hopefully you will appreciate the honest reasons we addressed this matter.

Thank you, Brian, for obtaining open access to the full article, which I was unable to do. I have serious doubt that any of Dr. Blasey’s critics here, or on linked websites, actually read or understood the content of the article before launching a full-throated ad hominem attack on her. Moreover, it should be very clear to anyone professing to have an unbiased ‘scientific’ view that Dr. Blasey: (1) appears only as a minor figure among a long list of co-authors, and (2) is only mentioned with regard to a study she did in 2004 that formed a partial basis for the statistical analysis. This is consistent with the fact (as I’ve mentioned elsewhere) that one of her two masters degrees was in biomedical statistics, which I suspect that was her primary role.

Put in a nutshell, there simply ain’t no there-there. It’s pure fabrication. There is no basis in this article for criticizing Dr. Blasey-Ford, much less claiming that she has mystical powers of ‘mind control.’ And, incidentally, the abstract hewed closely to the content of the paper —which is what an abstract should do. There was no mention of lie detection technology or how to defeat them.

        Hi Ed,

You just wrote: ” I have serious doubt that any of Dr. Blasey’s critics here, or on linked websites, actually read or understood the content of the article before launching a full-throated ad hominem attack on her.” I know you began to defend Dr. Blasey when you only knew of the authors of the article to which John referred and had only read its abstract.

You just repeated your claim she was a minor participant who only had a role the studies statistical analysis because is only mentioned with regard to a study she did in 2004 that formed a partial basis for the statistical analysis. Which you support with the fact that one of her two masters degrees was in biomedical statistics.

What you do not state is before this masters degree she had “received a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University in 1991” (Wiki) Whereas her masters degree involving biostatistics was received in 2009.

In the article I read at least one clinical psychologist directly involved in the hypnosis group’s therapy. so I cannot know that it was not Professor Ford. And I cannot forget that Professor Ford is being addressed as professor which in my academic experiences she might have expertise in this study beyond being a mere statistical analyst. Of course, I do not know what Professor Ford’s roles actually were but I am pretty sure you do not either. But I know there has to be records of who did what in this study which are not classified.

In the paper I read : “In 1964, Abrams suggested that hypnosis could be used to improve rapport in the therapeutic relationship, assist in ‘the retrieval of important memories, and create artificial situations’ that would permit the client to express ego-dystonic emotions in a safe manner (see also Griggs, 1989; Havens, 1986). Yapko (1992, 2001)” .You are right I really do not know what “create artificial situations” is intended to describe but I consider there cannot be much difference between “create artificial situations” and “create false memories”.

Gents, there is far more to come out about this story and the role the CIA in mind manipulation. If you read and give credence to the ‘Q’ messages then it will follow that an investigation into whether Ford is a CIA asset (activated “sleeper”) is ongoing. Standford Uni is well linked to the CIA’s MKUltra project. See: https://qmap.pub/read/2318

      John,

Based on this comment I hereby withdraw from further association with PSI. Our lines of thought are completely incompatible, and I don’t believe the direction you’re currently taking PSI is consistent with what I understood to be its underlying scientific basis. Under the circumstances, participating further isn’t possible for me, but since I’ve been a silent observer anyway, that shouldn’t make much difference.

      Best regards,

P.S., I just received this note from the first author of the study, Dr. Lisa D. Butler, in response to my request for a copy of the full paper. I did not solicit her comment, and this is the first and only interaction I’ve had with her. It completely validates what I said earlier.

“Thank you for your interest in our research. My apologies for the delay in replying; responding to each of the many requests separately has taken time. If you have a requested a copy of this paper because of the false rumor last week that this paper had something to do with Dr. Christine Blasey’s sexual assault allegations about Judge Brett Cavanaugh, I deeply appreciate that you want to see the actual paper rather than simply believing the rumors without examining the evidence for yourself. As the lead author on the paper, I can assure you that the study had absolutely nothing to do with the creation of memories. Moreover, Dr. Blasey was not involved in the study’s design or implementation, nor was she a participant. Dr. Blasey is a co-author on the paper because she helped with the statistics for the paper after the study was complete. Again, thank you for your interest. If you have further questions, please contact me through ResearchGate. Sincerely, Lisa D. Butler, PhD”
