An undoubted globalist and not someone ordinary folk should readily trust, Billionaire Bill Gates is dedicating his time, money, and his amazing brain to come up with solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems. Watch his latest promotional video about nuclear power.

The introduction to the video reads as follows:

“One of his brilliant ideas is a new design for a nuclear power plant called the Traveling Wave Reactor, which could potentially bring abundant, affordable nuclear energy to the people that need it most…..Gates has combined billions of his own dollars with billions from Warren Buffet on several issues that plague the developing world, such as a lack of fresh water, inadequate vaccination for disease, and a desperate need for sewage treatment solutions. These are all huge, complex problems, but Gates has taken on more than that. He’s working on a new design for nuclear power plants, which could potentially bring abundant, affordable nuclear energy to the people that need it most. The new design is called the “Traveling Wave Reactor.”

If Gates is interested in nuclear technology, he should put his money into helping fusion research. He could help with funding the operating costs of ITER for a start.

Prospects of fusion power may be a dead-end. The physics of that is “poorly understood” (an understatement). Even the so called Hydrogen Bomb is actually just an enhanced fission device as more than half of its energy release comes from fission.

        Hi JaKo,

I suspect there are still some of Admiral Rickover’s submarine boys around who might disagree with you.

        Have a good day, Jerry

Molten Salts Reactors powered by thorium….and waste from those high pressure water cooled reactors designed for submarines…..are the answer. If I had a magic wand, I would put MSR’s into production now….get rid of government subsidies for wind and solar…stop subsidizing corn into alcohol….stop wasting money on the fake man made CO2 is causing global warming…stop all trade with communist countries who are controlled by people like Nazis….and put more money into basic scientific research….there…..a much better world thanks to the magic wand.

Gates knows his money stream, his gold egg goose of MicroSoft, dies if the West stupidly embraces unreliable (non)’renewable’ sources of power.
Having western nations attempting to run solely on unreliable power would inflict terror into the hearts of many an IT manager, especially if they are told they can not have fossil fueled back-up power.
But hey, lets run it all on rechargeable batteries say the numbnuts of the world, without understanding the vast amount of power required to keep their mobile phone and internet connections running.
