Distinguishing Between Natural & Man-Made Drought

“We continue to run California as if the longest drought we are ever going to encounter is about seven years,” said Scott Stine, a professor of geography and environmental studies at Cal State East Bay. “We’re living in a dream world.”

Drought is the normal climate of the western US.  That is why the west is a desert.

There have been 200-year-long droughts in the past.

Look again at the E.R. Cook, et al, graph of droughts in California since around 800 A.D. The droughts are differentiated from non-droughts by the designation “dry” years vs. “wet” years. The man-made global warming hypothesis asserts that human activity first makes the atmosphere more humid–more “wet”, which results in more cloud cover and that it is the extra humidity and cloud cover in the air that causes the increase in surface level air temperatures via “positive water vapor feedback”.

Ergo, the “dry” periods shown in the graph cannot possible be “manmade” because human activity is said to be making the atmosphere more “wet”.

I am more inclined to agree with the information on Geoengineering Watch frequently with NASA images off CA, and comments from a world-wide readership.
