Arctic ‘Global Warming’ Mission Stuck in Ice!
Yet another greenie expedition to the Arctic to raise awareness of ‘global warming’ has been scuppered by unexpectedly large quantities of ice.
This brings to a total of six the number of Ship of Fools expeditions where weather reality has made a mockery of climate theory.
According to Maritime Bulletin:
Arctic tours ship MS MALMO with 16 passengers on board got stuck in ice on Sep 3 off Longyearbyen, Svalbard Archipelago, halfway between Norway and the North Pole.
The ship is on Arctic tour with Climate Change documentary film team, and tourists, concerned with Climate Change and melting Arctic ice.
All 16 Climate Change warriors were evacuated by helicopter in challenging conditions, all are safe. 7 crew remains on board, waiting for Coast Guard ship assistance.
The reporter, Erofey Schkvarkin clearly has a sense of humor. He adds:
Something is very wrong with Arctic ice, instead of melting as ordered by UN/IPCC, it captured the ship with Climate Change Warriors.

Ship of Fools IV: Arctic Mission sailing expedition to the North Pole to raise awareness of global warming has to turn back after yachts find their passage blocked by large quantities of an unexpected frozen white substance.
Ship of Fools V: Scientists, students, filmmakers from University of Rhode Island’s Inner Space Center on a mission to “document climate change effects” in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago have to be rescued after the ship is damaged after grounding on unexpected hard, bluey-white substance floating on the sea.
Do you think someone up there is trying to tell these people something?

Hi Oneshotorgan,
I agree. Read Genesis 1:28. Galileo and Newton were devote Believers of the Creator God and these two are generally credited with founding what is termed science today. And within a few centuries it is being claimed that humans have finally done exactly what the Creator God had commissioned his created humans to do.

We laugh, but these whack-o’s are so obsessed with this new Climate Change religion that they will be screaming about the pending destruction of Global Warming while being pushed off the south tip of Florida by advancing glaciers.

Hi Michael D,
You have allowed these ‘wack-o’s’ to move the discussion away from what is the fundamental basis of global warming and then to climate change. I question how many people now even are aware what this fundamental basis actually is? This basis is termed the ‘greenhouse effect’ (GHE) of certain atmospheric gases similar to carbon dioxide.
For nearly 2000 years nearly the intellectual community and nearly everyone else accepted the validity of Aristotle’s idea (theory) termed the geocentric model of the universe in which the earth did not move. This because the Greek philosophers argued about this idea and the one termed the heliocentric model of our solar system in which the earth not only revolved about the sun but also rotated about an axis which placed through the north and south pole. And that this axis about which the earth rotated was inclined at an angle to the plane in (on) which the earth revolved about the sun.
Given these two definitions of these two ideas, which appears to be simpler to understand, accept, if one ignores certain common observations?
The idea of the GHE is easy to accept (believe) on the basis that the carbon dioxide molecules are know to absorb portions of the radiation (energy) being emitted by the earth’s surface if one ignores certain common observations. And once one accepts the GHE idea as stated, global warming and climate change rationally follow.
I began with ‘you’ because I have been drawing attention to observations which refute the idea that a cloudless atmosphere greatly hinders the transmission of either solar radiation or the radiation being emitted by the earth’s surface.
