The Climate Aberration
Is it not strange that the whole climate argument of man-made Global Warming rests upon the least immediate mode of heat transfer, namely long wave Radiation from the Earth, to a trace gas – Carbon Dioxide – that is only 0.04{154653b9ea5f83bbbf00f55de12e21cba2da5b4b158a426ee0e27ae0c1b44117} of the atmosphere? This is to ignore completely the warming effect of Conduction upon the 99{154653b9ea5f83bbbf00f55de12e21cba2da5b4b158a426ee0e27ae0c1b44117} of the atmosphere, – Nitrogen and Oxygen – when Conduction is immediate and pertains everywhere.
Every single element is in contact with the atmosphere; that is, the oceans, the land, the lakes, rivers, mountains, the buildings, the forests, the animals in fact everything on the whole wide earth is forever in contact with 99{154653b9ea5f83bbbf00f55de12e21cba2da5b4b158a426ee0e27ae0c1b44117} of the atmosphere. Yet the Warmists have fabricated a message of doom all round a slow form of radiation, which is inhibited by distance and by the inverse square law, and is concerned with the warming of a gas that is in toto but a trace.
Just how much is the human addition of Carbon Dioxide to the totality, not according to the Skeptics, but according to the IPCC? Answer: 2.9{154653b9ea5f83bbbf00f55de12e21cba2da5b4b158a426ee0e27ae0c1b44117}. So to be fair let us round this up to 3{154653b9ea5f83bbbf00f55de12e21cba2da5b4b158a426ee0e27ae0c1b44117} and multiply 3{154653b9ea5f83bbbf00f55de12e21cba2da5b4b158a426ee0e27ae0c1b44117} x 0.04{154653b9ea5f83bbbf00f55de12e21cba2da5b4b158a426ee0e27ae0c1b44117}. It comes to the ludicrously low figure of 0.0012{154653b9ea5f83bbbf00f55de12e21cba2da5b4b158a426ee0e27ae0c1b44117}. It is that figure that we are supposed to reduce in order to supposedly reduce Anthropogenic Global Warming. Surely, that is totally ridiculous.
From this supposed and fabricated warming, we are being persuaded that Mankind is warming the atmosphere and inducing ClimateChange! It is a ludicrous proposition, yet it has been enacted into law in one major western country – Britain – with their Climate Change Act.
What causes the Globe to get warm? The truth is that every sentient being that is not crazy knows the answer, without any science whatsoever. Even little Suzy knows that the Sun warms the Earth. Shall I tell you something else? Little Suzy also knows that the Greenhouse Gases cool the Earth. Ha Ha! That is because she sees clouds and even draws them with a big Sun as soon as she get into class – if not before.
The Warmists make an elaborate argument. They are vaguely aware that hot air rises, although this simple fact or the implications of it seem to have eluded them, but they argue that the Greenhouse Gases ‘trap’ heat. The more savvy of them knows that this argument is simply fallacious, so they fall back on the idea that these same Greenhouse Gases slow down the exit of heat from the Earth and thereby make it warmer. Woa! Put a tea cosy over a pot of tea, will that make the tea any hotter? Even Grandma, even any Grandma, knows and would know that slowing down the exit of heat will not in any way result in an increase in temperature. You see, you have known this all along, but we have been buffeted by years and years of propaganda, so that little children and the naïve super stars of Hollywood, have been inculcated with this pseudo-science – let us call it what it is – ‘rubbish’.
You do not need to be a scientist in order to know the truth about climate – you just need common sense and common or garden observation. You know as I know that the closer you get to a bonfire, the hotter it feels. Likewise, if we were, as a Planet, to fly closer to the Sun we would get hotter – nothing to do with Carbon Dioxide or the Greenhouse Effect, nothing whatsoever. And if perchance we were to fly off in the opposite direction, further away from the Sun, what would inevitably happen? We would get colder and colder, and no amount of Carbon Dioxide would stop us from freezing to death.
There are two huge escalators in our atmosphere. The down escalator carries the radiation from the Sun. The collision of this radiation with mass causes heat. That is also why the Greenhouse gases in the form of clouds, which also have mass, scatter the incoming radiation and keep us cooler than we might otherwise be. Then there is the up escalator that carries the heat of the Earth upwards by Convection towards Outer Space, where it is finally radiated away by – wait for it – none other than these famous Greenhouse Gases. Nothing whatsoever can stop the transfer of kinetic energy. Although you may not be fully cognisant of this fact, yet every simpleton and every child soon learns about the transfer of kinetic energy. It becomes embedded in the subconscious.
